Assimilate

This video is one of two for Watford based metal band, Assimilate, to explore the darker themes they’ve explored in their new album, through our protagonist’s narrative. 

A key element for this video was intertwining energy and mystery with our hero to explore his damaged emotional state while at the same time giving the fury and punch that Assimilate’s music gives. The band wanted a shock reveal at the end, to open up into the next video, so in order to make that land the audience couldn’t see the face of our protagonist until the last minute. 

We knew from the start that shooting two music videos in one day would be a challenge (especially in a derelict hotel) but with excellent logistics and planning from our team, we were able to create two really impactful and heavy pieces of content for the band.
